The MTHIRA KUBILI TRUCK PARKING BAY is a flagship infrastructure project currently being constructed by Kasenengwa Town Council along the Great East Road. Valued at ZMW 2.1 million, the project is funded by the World Bank through the Zambia Devolution Support Programme (ZDSP) and is designed to improve traffic management, enhance road safety, and create a safer, organised resting point for heavy vehicles using the Kasenengwa corridor. Once completed, the facility will also support local revenue generation for the Council and stimulate nearby businesses. As of now, construction works stand at approximately 70% completion, and more updates, including operational details and commissioning timelines, will be shared with the public in due course.
